Coming out of Brooklyn, Crisiskhan has shown the importance of possessing a variety of skills in the rap game, having perfected both production and lyrical ability. Starting music at just 13 years old, his 2020 EP “Quarantine” has everything you’d want in a debut project. The 6 track EP shows not only huge future potential for the emerging artist, but also perfectly highlights his ability to produce his own music, allowing for complete creative control. Each track carries its own unique vibe that is largely created by the top tier production ability, setting the tone for each individual song. The project shows incredible versatility: aggressive songs and beats compliment chill tracks that offer quick changes of pace as the listener navigates the album. One of the most underrated aspects of Khan’s work is lyricism- each beat gives the song its core but the lyrics bring it to life, capturing the emotions and ideas being presented in the piece. Fast paced rapping ability highlights our favorite tracks, like the perfectly produced “Triple Threat” and the incredible bars starting 30 seconds into “Nightmares”. With a lot to offer and more on the way, Crisiskhan is sure to have a huge year following the success of his debut EP. “Quarantine” is highlighted by the opening track “Zone”, an introduction that skillfully uses strong flow and a fresh beat that brings the artist’s energy into focus. Next up is “Flawless”, a longer track with some of the best bars on the album and a clean beat that brings the lyrics to life and exemplifies Khan’s lyrical ability. The third track “Juggernaut” brings in an aggressive style that makes it a top listen on the project, its unique sound furthering the versatility that makes the EP such a great debut. Track 4 is called “Holywater” a shorter track with similar stylistic elements to the first half of the project. Track 5 follows, called “Triple Threat”, and it is without a doubt Khan’s best song. With some of the best production on the EP, fast paced bars, and a flow that maximizes the sound of the next-level beat, this track is a perfect first listen for those looking to start following Khan’s work. The project is concluded perfectly with “Nightmares”, the fast paced number mentioned earlier in the article. Overall, this debut EP is a perfect introduction to Crisiskhan and his music, and we are excited to see what he has in store for the future
